Interview with 2027 Harvard Admit: Trinity Dysis

Jack Beecher here

Last week, I released the third interview I conducted with Ivy Admits. For those of you who haven’t yet checked it out, watch that one here.

This week, I’m excited to carry the momentum from the last interview through to the finale with an informative interview I had the pleasure of conducting with a student going to Harvard. Not only is this student someone I’ve never discussed college admissions with before (which made it super interesting) but they also got into several other top schools, including Princeton. There’s a reason I saved this interview for last, so if you haven’t checked the other ones out yet, but you’re interested in the premise, please do yourself a favor and watch this one.

For those of you who may be apprehensive to listen because you’re not vying for Ivy League admissions and think the advice won’t apply, don’t worry. The things we discuss, although tailored to top level schools, apply to all levels of the admissions process.

This project is now coming to a close, and I’d like to reflect on all the colleges of student’s I’ve learned so much from.

  • Brown (Akshat Mehta + Sai Sai Men)

  • Harvard (Trinity Dysis)

  • Stanford (Vi Beuachan)

In case you didn’t notice by those logos, these are all rock star students who are, like me, interested in helping you achieve admissions success. There’s no better place to learn about admissions than from these students who just went through the process.

Parlaying on top of the interviews, I’m well underway with my work into the Ivy Roadmap, a new section of the College Confidence Roadmap dedicated exclusively to helping students get into top colleges. I’m excited to be able to add another resource to help stand out students earn the success they deserve.

Reflecting back on my own admissions journey, I know that this is a section I wish I could’ve benefited from, so I’m happy to pass on my wisdom to the next generation of students in the program.

But back to the interviews. The one I’m releasing this week is with a stellar student named Trinity Dysis. Trinity was admitted to both Princeton and Harvard, and while watching the video, you’ll quickly understand why.

We talk about activities, grades, test scores, honors, essays, and all things that help students get into their dream schools. More importantly, however, we talk about the fact that college admissions isn’t the end all be all. There are things in the world that matter more. Trinity put it best by saying, “Getting into top schools was a symptom of my community impact, not my goal.”

As of a couple days ago, the interview is live on Youtube, so check it out here:

In case you haven’t already clicked on the video, here are a couple more details about the interview.

  1. In the description, there are time stamps for each section of what we discuss. Go to the ones you need!

  2. It’s also available on Spotify (here)
