Interview with 2027 Stanford Admit: Vi Beauchan

Jack Beecher here

Last week, I released the second interview I conducted with Ivy Admits. For those of you who haven’t yet checked it out, watch that one here.

This week, I’m excited to announce the release of the 3rd interview I conducted, and this one’s special. Why? I interviewed someone I’ve never met before/spoke to about college admissions, which allowed me to extract some incredibly valuable advice from an entirely new perspective. And even more importantly, she got into Stanford!

For those of you who may be apprehensive to listen because you’re not vying for Ivy League admissions and think the advice won’t apply, don’t worry. The things we discuss, although tailored to top level schools, apply to all levels of the admissions process.

Next week, this series will come to a close with our final interview before mine. For those of you who are curious, the colleges of students we have interviewed for this project are:

  • Brown

  • Harvard

  • Standford

  •  Dartmouth (me)

If you aren’t already amped up about the interviews, I have additional great news. I’m taking what I learned from each of these interviews and my culmination of knowledge about first-hand admissions experience to create an entirely new section of the College Confidence Roadmap dedicated exclusively to helping students achieve admission into top 20 schools. This will be a free add on to the already built foundation of knowledge in the program and a great section for stand out students looking to achieve next level admissions success.

But back to the interviews. The one I’m releasing this week is with a stellar student named Vi Beauchan. Vi was admitted to Stanford yet is going to Williams in the fall—a situation that prompted some of the best college admissions advice I’ve ever heard.

We talk about activities, grades, test scores, honors, essays, and all things that help students get into their dream schools. And additionally, we discuss the ultimate decision of actually choosing a college that’s right for you—a tip that has applications from crafting a school list to placing a deposit.

As of a couple days ago, the interview is live on Youtube, so check it out here:

In case you haven’t already clicked on the video, here are a couple more details about the interview.

  1. In the description, there are time stamps for each section of what we discuss. Go to the ones you need!

  2. It’s also available on Spotify (here)
